TruckLoad Fuel Surcharge

All charges for line haul transportation and charges for other services (Note C), governed by this tariff, which consume fuel are hereby made subject to an increase in the total charge subject to an average of the Central Atlantic and New England fuel costs. For the week of Thu 07/29/2010, the price of a gallon of diesel fuel is $3.017. The truckload fuel surcharge for today is 28.80% based on this average. The table below illustrates A. Duie Pyle's Truckload fuel surcharge guidelines.

Note A : In applying the increase provided herein, first determine the total charge in tariff, and the apply the increase authorized by this supplement as a separate charge.
Note B :  Fractions of less than one half cent or one half dollars will be dropped; fractions of one half cent or one half dollar or more will be increased to the next whole cent.
Note C : The increase will be applied against the following services which consume fuel: pickup or delivery service; reconsignment or diversion; redelivery; vehicles furnished but not used; and/or any other service not specifically named which consumes fuel.
Note D : "DOE WEEKLY FUEL INDEX" is determined by the Department of Energy.
Note E : Rates to be adjusted weekly, with the new adjustment taking effect on Tuesday morning the week of the change.
